Dirt Rally 2.0 internet connection required to communicate with RaceNet

0

Bad news for future Dirt Rally 2.0 players or those who already have the game. We can confirm that internet connection is required to enjoy all the features of the new Dirt Rally 2.0.

If you are not connected to the internet, the game cannot communicate with RaceNet preventing access to the events, the garage and the staff. Be the biggest piece of the game, because it is in these sections that the whole career of Dirt Rally 2.0 is played.

If you are not connected to the Internet, all you have left is the “freeplay” that allows you to create personalized races against the AI that can be configured. On the other hand, it is impossible to improve vehicles with credits, impossible to progress in career mode and impossible to manage your own staff. However, you have access to all the circuits and all the vehicles in “freeplay” rally and rallycross mode.

It’s a shame, though, especially since when Dirt Rally 2.0 stops communicating with RaceNet servers in a few years’ time, the game will be cut off from a lot of its content. It will no longer be possible to replay both career modes.
