You’re still wondering if there’s a possibility of seeing the Red Dead Redemption series on PC. Better yet, you want to know if Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be released on PC at the same time as on PS4 and Xbox One at the end of October 2018…? Rockstar Games are known to have a tendency to delay the release of games from their PC catalog, as demonstrated by GTA V, which took longer to get on this support than home consoles.
The problem with the Red Dead Redemption series is that the first episode never came out on PC, some rumors talk about a chaotic development of the first episode and that it would have been difficult to port the game to PC while specifying that the stability of the game on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 in their time was a miracle… Others think that Rockstar Games are the kind of people to hate PC players and especially the modding community….Â
The company has also been blamed many times for anti-mods actions with GTA 5. We were telling you last summer about the big wave of support for the Open IV mod that had been stopped by Take-Two interactive (Rockstar’s parent company) following several complaints against its creators. Which leads us to know whether or not Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on PC….
Red Dead Redemption 2 also comes out on PC yes or not ?
Let’s be clear, for the moment Rockstar Games says no ! It was during a live Twitch that one of the developers said « Red Dead Redemption 2 is not planned for PC », yet when you look more closely at the LinkedIn page of one of the game’s programmers, you can see the PC mention appear in the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 which gives hope to see the game land on this support later.Â
We will keep you informed if there are any changes in Rockstar Games’ statements as to whether the game will ever be released on PC… For the moment, this is not the case, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26, 2018 on PS4 and Xbox One only.
