How many Giganto monsters there are and how to start Rich the king of adventure quest :
You have the opportunity to meet your first Giganto after the events in Dahngrest, the « Green Menace » in the Keiv Moc forest, but you will first have to make sure you have started a certain side quest before you kill your first Giganto.
For this, you must rest in the Wandering Traveler inn which is located not far from the city of Aspio and Hallure on the world/field map. You will meet the famous Ritch who travels through Terca Lumeiris with his sister. You need to talk to him by having Karol on your team and before you attend some of Dahngrest’s key events and before you kill your first Giganto.Â
Yes! That’s a lot of requirements… But if you meet these requirements, then every time you talk to Rich after killing a Giganto monster, you will get a title for Karol and materials that will fill your compendium which will be essential if you want to get all the trophies / achievements of the game.
Note that in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, there are a total of 11 Giganto monsters to fight. Each of these monsters can reappear randomly as you progress through the adventure.
★ Tip : A technique allows monsters to reappear faster, just save/load your game to a Giganto location and cross your fingers when loading the game for the monster to reappear. If you don’t like this technique, you can always fight all the Giganto monsters again in an optional dungeon at the end of the game.
Where to find the 11 « Giganto » bosses of Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition :
When you reach Dahngrest, you will head to the Keiv Moc forest. This is where you will meet your very first Giganto monster… As mentioned earlier, make sure you have already talked to Rich the king of adventure before defeating him or the quest will be permanently blocked until the New Game +.
★ Note : Every time you encounter a Giganto monster, it should be at a higher level than the group. You can fight them at any time when your team has become strong enough. Every time you kill one of these optional monsters, you get materials that will be used at the end of the adventure to get (make) some of the best equipment and weapons from Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition.
