As an « RPG », Assassin’s Creed Odyssey allows players to earn experience points (XP) by fighting, completing quests and finishing all areas. This system allows you to gain levels for Alexios or Kassandra depending on the choice you made at the beginning of the adventure.
By gaining additional levels, you get attribute points to spend in the game’s abilities menu, which unlocks new abilities in three skill trees : Hunter, Warrior and Assassin. Each time you earn a level, you get a new ability point to spend. The more you progress in the adventure and the more you unlock new abilities, the more the upgrade of Leonidas spear with artifact fragments allows you to access additional levels that will reinforce the skills already unlocked in exchange for skill points.
If you are wondering what the maximum level is in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, be aware that this figure is 50. But be careful, it doesn’t mean that there are only 50 skill points to get in the game. The tombs will also allow you to obtain skill points to reinforce the characteristics of Alexios or Kassandra.
After reaching level 50, you will no longer be able to progress your character through the XP system. However, please be aware that the Season Pass DLCs will certainly allow Ubisoft’s teams to raise the player’s maximum level. This Wiki page only takes into account the basic version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey without the upcoming or already published DLCs.
